These are coded with key words, enabling searches to made either for definitions of the terms themselves or to identify project management terms relevant to areas of project management 2) A list of some 400 project management-related acronyms together with their meanings. These may be searched individually or by inserting two consecutive letters from the acronym. (In the latter case a list of acronyms containing the letters in sequence is returned) 3) A list of some 215 project management-related websites. These are coded into different categories and may be searched for individually or by category (for example it is possible to select and display details of websites offering recruitment services or project management training courses) 4) A list of some 104 good quality project management reference books. This may be searched by main subject topic, or by author. In either case the search returns a list of relevant book titles. On further selection, the database provides bibliographic details of each book 5) A list of some 400 good quality project management articles, selected from project management books. The book articles have been selected for their quality in particular areas of project management and are not necessarily comprehensive. The reader may select articles by title, author, or by using a key -word search facility to obtain a list of articles in a particular area of project management. It should be noted that not all of the books are entirely devoted to project management and some of them are early editions - this should assist the member who is searching for early works on particular topics 6) A list of some 270 good quality journal papers and articles, selected from project management and other journals. The journal articles have been selected for their quality and practical use in particular areas of project management and are not necessarily comprehensive. The member may select articles by title, author, or by using a key-word search facility to obtain a list of articles in a particular area of project management. On further selection, the database provides bibliographic details of each article The references go back over a number of years and will help the member to identify original works on various topics 7) The website provides a series of project management mind maps, showing project management topics and their relationship to particular areas of project management. They provide excellent aide memoirs or frameworks for academic work in specific areas 8) It is intended to publish a series of articles dealing with practical project management topics under the general heading of 'The e-journal of Practical Project Management'. These articles will be submitted by the members, they will be reviewed, categorised and published to give a long-term reference bank.
