Journal articles This database contains details of some 400 good quality project management articles, selected from project management and other journals. The articles have been chosen for their quality in particular areas of project management and are not necessarily comprehensive. It should be noted that not all references come from journals that are entirely devoted to project management. Some come from quite early works which should assist the student who is searching for early references to particular topics General In this database there are two search tools available to the reader: 1) The reader may select journal articles by title or author; for example, a search on 'Chapman' gives the following journal articles: Title | Journal | Author | Category 1 | Category 2 | | Estimation and evaluation of uncertainty: a minimalist first pass approach | IJPM - Elsevier | Chapman C and Stephen Ward | Uncertainty | Uncertainty | select | Incorporating uncertainty in competitive bidding | IJPM - Elsevier | Chapman CB, et al | Uncertainty | Tendering and bidding | select | The controlling influences on effective risk identification and assessment for construction design management | IJPM - Elsevier | Chapman RJ | Uncertainty | Construction | select | Transforming project risk management into project uncertainty management | IJPM - Elsevier | Stephen Ward, Chris Chapman | Uncertainty | Risk management | select | Why risk efficiency is a key aspect of best practice projects | IJPM - Elsevier | Chris Chapman and Stephen Ward | Uncertainty | Risk management | select |
Clicking on 'select' then gives the relevant bibliographic details, e.g. Title | Why risk efficiency is a key aspect of best practice projects | Journal | IJPM - Elsevier | Author | Chris Chapman and Stephen Ward | Category 1 | Uncertainty | Category 2 | Risk management | Volume | 22 | Number | 8 | Date | Nov-04 | Page | Pages 619-632 |
2) The database may be searched using keywords to identify journal articles in particular areas of project management. For example, a search using the primary keyword area 'uncertainty'and then the secondary keyword 'risk' yields a large number of similar articles by other authors The key words for searching journal articles are the same as those for the glossary of project management terms
